About The Morning Show

Morning Show Co-Host Rachelle joins us all the way from The Empire State of New York and she is proud to call Houston home. You heard her as the host of the Afternoon Show on KSBJ and she’s elated to now join you in the mornings! She’s passionate about spreading the love of Christ and humbled to share Jesus and His music with you. When she’s not on-air, you can find Rachelle spending time with her husband (Sammy), their two boys (Sammy and Caleb), their two spoiled Jack Russell terriers (Dodger and Chrissy) and their beta fish (Peter). Tune in to the Morning Show and you might also catch Rachelle humming a tune, tapping her feet, or reciting a poem - she enjoys giving God the glory through the Arts! Her favorite scripture passage is Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Morning Show Co-Host Carder is excited to be a part of the KSBJ Morning Show! He was raised in northern Oklahoma and went to college in the Oklahoma City area. Carder worked at a couple of different stations before doing the morning show for NGEN Radio, KSBJ’s sister station. Carder’s favorite verse is Hebrews 2:18, “For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted”. Carder says, “The fact that Jesus actually came down and went through everything we did is incredible. When we suffer or struggle with something… he can relate! Carder is married to a beautiful girl named Kelsey, and has one “fur-baby” named Benson. He’s been in Houston for a year and loves it, but STILL isn’t used to the traffic.
