How To Pray

How to Pray

When it comes to prayer, we sometimes become intimidated and think we don’t have the right words to say or know how to say them. We may even compare ourselves to others who we feel are more articulate. But prayer is a matter of the heart between you and God. It is simply talking to God in our own way and inviting his intervention into every aspect of our lives. God loves us so much that He wants to communicate with us on a regular basis through prayer and His word.

If you want to go deeper in your prayers …

while adding more variety to your prayer time, here is a model to help you pray longer and more focused. This wheel is broken down into twelve, five minute prayer focuses to help you pray for a full hour each day. From the book “The Hour that Changes the World” by Dick Eastman

Pray Down at High Noon

Join us everyday at noon as we say the Lord’s Prayer together and ask for God’s will to be done here on earth!

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
